Welcome to Michaelion
Home of the Ordo Ignis Michaelis
Michaelion was a temple in the northern part of Constantinople that was dedicated to St. Michael. Originally, the location was named Sosthenion and was built by the Argonauts, but after Emperor Constantine received a vision from the Archangel Michael at the temple, it was renamed. Today, it serves as a virtual home of the Ordo Ignis Michaelis ("The Order of the Fire of Michael")
Ordo Ignis Michaelis is a spiritual and contemplative order devoted to inner purification, disciplined self-mastery, and union with the Divine through the path of Christ. Rooted in Catholic tradition and inspired by the angelic virtue of St. Michael the Archangel, the Order seeks to ignite the soul to seek the intimacy of Trinitarian life.
Through study, meditation, and works of the hands, we labor to sanctify each aspect of our lives and to become better men, husbands, and fathers in the light of God’s design.
With St. Michael as our patron and divine fire in our hearts, we stand steadfast against temptation and draw strength for the trials of spiritual warfare. Ours is a path of vigilance, humility, and transformation that is to be fought not with swords, but with prayer, discipline, and unwavering devotion to Christ.
